Class Name	Course Description
Active Shooter Preparedness Training	An active shooter event can happen anywhere schools, businesses, or public places. Being prepared can save lives. This training teaches participants how to recognize warning signs, respond quickly during an incident, and follow the “Run, Hide, Fight” model recommended by law enforcement. Students will also learn about emergency communication, lockdown procedures, and how to assist others while keeping themselves safe. By the end of the course, participants will have the knowledge and confidence to react effectively in a crisis situation and help protect those around them. .
AEMT	(Prerequisite: Emergency Medical Technician (Basic)) Expand your scope in emergency medicine as you take this next step in the world of pre-hospital care. Add skills and knowledge to your EMT foundation. Note: Class dates may vary within the schedule.
AEMT National Continued Competency Program	The AEMT National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) requires a total of fifty (50) credits of continuing education to recertify.
Babysitter First Aide and CPR Training	Ready to become a confident and caring babysitter? This course teaches young babysitters ages 12 to 17 important safety skills like emergency preparedness, basic first aid, and how to perform CPR and use an AED. With hands-on practice and easy-to-follow lessons, you’ll gain the knowledge to handle common emergencies and keep kids safe. Plus, you’ll have the chance to earn official American Heart Association CPR and AED certification—giving parents peace of mind and helping you build skills that can last a lifetime!
Building Foundations of Caregiving	Building Foundation of Caregiving explores the role of caregiver and changes they may experience, building a support team and managing caregiver stress.
CMA Update	Complete the 8- hour annual training requirement for CMAs. This class will present pertinent information and updates regarding the care of geriatric patients.
Communicating Effectively	Communicating Effectively teaches how dementia affects communication, including tips for communicating well with family, friends and health care professionals.
DDMAT	This class is designed to provide certified training for direct care staff in licensed residential care facilities and licensed group homes which have the responsibility of administering medication to residents. Curriculum includes administration of medication, measuring and charting vital signs and understanding legal aspects.
DDMAT MAT Update	DDMAT/MAT requires 6 hours every two years of continuing education. Learn information that will assist you at work while meeting the annual requirement of completing at least eight hours of update training for those who have been certified as a Medication Administration Technician and are employed. This course is designed to increase your knowledge of medications, documentation, and the medication administration process. Review classifications of medications such as antibiotics, antihypertensive and diuretics.
Emergency Medical Technician	This training will develop you into a successful EMT and meet the requirements set forth by the State Department of Health. Upon successful completion of this course, you will be eligible to take the national registry exam. Course cost covers books and class supplies, additional costs of black slacks, black belt, and black leather enclosed shoes are the responsibility of the student. This class will be a portion of in classroom, hybrid online cognitive learning, hands on skill labs that will take place on pre-determined dates and 36 hours of clinicals on an ambulance. The instructor will be available through phone and email during the week.
EMR National Continued Competency Program	This refresher course is designed to meet the 16 hour requirement for continuing education required to recertify.
EMS Instructor	The Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Train-the-Trainer course is designed to equip experienced EMS professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to become effective trainers within the field of emergency medical services. This comprehensive course covers a range of topics essential for preparing individuals to train others in pre-hospital emergency care. This course is for EMS Instructor only and not the test certification for Fire instructor I.
EMS Refresher and Skills Workshop	This 8-hour EMS Continuing Education course is designed for emergency medical professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in critical areas of pre-hospital care. The curriculum is divided into four focused 2-hour sessions, covering airway management, cardiac emergencies, trauma care, medical emergencies, operational procedures, and hands-on skills practice. Participants will engage in interactive lectures, case studies, and practical scenarios to reinforce learning and improve their competency in the field.
EMT National Continued Competency Program	This course is designed to meet the 40 hours of continuing education for EMT's required to recertify.
Exploring Care and Support Services	Exploring Care and Support Services examines how best to prepare for future care decisions and changes, including respite care, residential care and end of life care.
