Hydro Excavation Basics and Safety | This program teaches the basics of hydro excavation and specifically the ability to expose utilities to visually inspect in a safe productive manner. Being able to expose and visually inspect utilities during underground construction allows employees to complete projects safely while reducing downtown with inadvertent strikes. Ladder Safety in the Retail Industry (OLT) | Ladders are one of the most common and simple tools people use on the job. It’s easy to forget that they can also be extremely dangerous. Each year in the United States, accidents involving ladders cause approximately 300 deaths and 130,000 injuries requiring emergency medical attention. This course should assist learners in recognizing hazards of ladder use, different types of ladders, and inspection requirements. This course is intended for employees in the retail and grocery industry who use ladders at work on a regular basis, and will assist employers in meeting OSHA standards on ladder safety. While this course addresses OSHA training requirements, there may be a site-specific training component required that must be fulfilled by an employer. | |

Loss Prevention in Retail Sales (OLT) | Theft and other forms of shrinkage are a major problem for the retail industry, costing American businesses over $30 billion every year. Loss prevention is an important aspect of working in a retail or grocery setting, so it is important for employees to understand the goals of loss prevention and their role in the store’s loss prevention program. When this course is complete, the learner should be able to recognize common types of internal and external theft and appropriate responses. Mobile Crane Operator | This 40-hour course will certify the student in 17 NCCER OQ Tasks related to mobile crane operator skills, including rigging and signal person. Students will need to provide the crane manufacturer and model following registration; an on-site performance evaluation may be required in addition to classroom time. A cluttered, dirty store can have a negative impact on customer impressions of a store as well as employee morale. Injuries are also more common in stores that aren’t properly cleaned maintained.
