Class Name	Course Description
Lean Green Belt	Lean Green Belt covers the philosophy, tools and applications of 5S, VSM, Plant Layout, Training within Industry, Mistake Proofing, Kaizens, QCO, TPM, Cellular Flow, Pull Systems, Lean Performance Measures, Leadership Roles, Strategic Planning, Lean Program Deployment and cultural challenges. Engaging exercises are included to apply the skills in a structured environment incorporating data collection forms, videos and case studies. A test is administered on the final day.
Line Locating	This 6-hour hands-on course combines classroom instruction with field training to teach the fundamentals of utility locating. Participants will learn how to operate line locators, understand their settings and functions, and apply the principles of accurately identifying underground pipes and cables. By the end of the course, students will have practical experience using locating equipment and interpreting results to ensure safe and effective utility detection.

Mechanical Math and Measurement Fundamentals (Manufacturing)	Enhance the capabilities of your workforce with this focused training designed for employees currently working in manufacturing environments. Participants will review essential math concepts, master unit conversions, and strengthen their ability to read tolerances and apply precision measurement techniques. Natural Gas Measurment Fundamentals Training	This course will provide a basic understanding of natural gas measurement fundamentals and practical instruction to produce a knowledgeable and proficient measurement. Vertis G. Grummert, JM Test Systems will be the instructor for this condensed course during Safety Week.
Process controls (Level 1)	This course provides hands-on training in pressure process control, focusing on simultaneous liquid level and tank pressure management. Students will work with industry-standard components, including differential pressure sensors and proportional valves, to develop practical skills. Using an industrial-grade VFD-controlled centrifugal pump, learners will explore gas blanket applications in both manual and automatic modes, preparing them for real-world process control scenarios.
Root Cause Analysis: 8D Problem Solving	Strengthen your team’s ability to solve problems at the root cause with this hands-on, one-day training. Using the 8 Disciplines (8D) methodology, participants will learn how to contain issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions. This highly interactive session demonstrates how 8D supports Lean practices and drives continuous improvement. While designed for manufacturing, the process applies across industries and is ideal for anyone responsible for quality, process efficiency, or operational results.
SME Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) (Online, Self-Paced)	Kickstart your career in manufacturing with SME’s Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) program. This fully online, self-paced course covers essential manufacturing topics - Additive Manufacturing, Applied Mathematics, Blueprint Reading, CNC, Inspection, Lean, Quality, Robotics, and Safety, and more – selected by industry experts to prepare you for entry-level manufacturing roles. The training concludes with the nationally recognized CMfgA certification exam, and successful participants earn a digital badge to showcase their achievement and stand out to employers. During the program, participants will have the opportunity to tour local manufacturing facilities to see real-world applications and connect with local employers.
Warehouse, Inventory & Logistics	The newest course in the NRF Foundation's skill training is the Warehouse, Inventory, and Logistics credential. Developed in collaboration with the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) Foundation, this course will help your students or employees understand the importance of supply chains and flow of goods as well as safety measures and other performance metrics. This course is perfect for someone interested in or currently working in a warehousing environment and first-and-second-chance job seekers. After completing this online course, you will be able to: •Understand how goods flow through the supply chain •Learn how warehouse/distribution/fulfillment centers are designed and operated •Calculate and explain key performance metrics •Demonstrate safety measures and techniques •Explore skills for warehousing jobs and career paths This class includes an exam at the end. Upon passing, you will receive a certificate from the National Retail Federation Foundation identifying you as a Warehouse, Inventory & Logistics Specialist. **If you do not want or need the certification, please reach out to us for training only options. RISE Up, a training program developed by the NRF Foundation in partnership with the top retailers across the industry in the United States. This curriculum and certification are nationally-recognized in the retail industry.
Welding for Certification	Explore the techniques of welding steel plate and pipe with extensive hands-on experience. Includes oxyacetylene cutting and welding with a strong focus on arc welding. Certification test fee is separate, with an average cost of up to $200.
Welding Skill Development	The Welding Skills Development Program is for welders of any base skill set. The purpose is to allow designated time to practice or learn new skills under the supervision of a welding instructor. The class will be individualized and student directed. This will allow for students to expand on their already existing skills at their own pace. The course instructor will provide educational instruction in shop safety, practical skill application, solutions to welding issues and assisting students to aid in their welding skill improvement.
