| Flex CPT Certified Phlebotomy Technician | This National Healthcareer Association (NHA)-approved program equips students with the essential skills and knowledge to become proficient phlebotomy technicians. The course prepares individuals to perform blood collection procedures, ensuring patient safety and specimen integrity, and culminates in eligibility to sit for the NHA Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam. *Student must be 18 years old. | |
| Flex LTCNA Long Term Care Nurse Aide-CNA | Flex Enrollment and Program: The Long-Term Care Nurse Aide (LTCNA) program, also known as the Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) training, is a state-approved, competency-based course designed to prepare students for delivering quality care in long-term care settings—such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospitals—under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Successful completion qualifies students to sit for the Oklahoma state certification exams and be placed on the Nurse Aide Registry. | |
| Instructor I (Fire & EMS) | Prepares emergency service personnel to deliver a training class from a prepared lesson plan. It is appropriate for company officers, training officers, instructors in the fire service, EMS, emergency management, or industrial fire protection. | |
| Intro to Medical Spanish | This introduction class will study clinically relevant medical Spanish. Training on the proper use of language and verbiage used by healthcare providers in multiple disciplines to bridge the language barrier between caregivers and patients. Begin with improving interview skills, understanding of patient responses and ability to assist Spanish-speaking patients. In class patient simulation opportunities will be provided. | |
| Long Term Care Nurse Aid-Reporting Only Sessions | Utilize in person training to prepare for the LTCNA Skill and Written Exam. Master the skills to perform personal care for residents in nursing homes, assisted living centers and hospitals under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Upon completion, you will be eligible to take the certification exams for Long Term Care Nurse Aides CNA to be placed on the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s Nurse Aide Registry. Attendance during all classes and clinicals is required by state law. CPR and State certification tests are included in course fees. | |
| Medicare 101 | The Medicare enrollment process can sometimes be confusing. What documents do you need to bring? When can you enroll? What services do you qualify for? If you are new to Medicare - or will be in the near future - you are invited to learn from Stacy Washburn at LTCA of Enid Area Agency on Aging about the process. Stacy will provide information on what to expect, timelines to enroll, what to take to the Social Security office, provide handouts and resources, and more as she walks the class through the Medicare Roadmap. A representative(s) will be available after the class to set a follow-up one-on-one appointment time with you for further questions. This is a free class. Registration is encouraged. The University of Oklahoma College of Nursing and participating technology centers in Oklahoma’s CareerTech system are now accepting enrollments for a Nurse Refresher course. This course offers three components: A self-paced, online nursing theoretical course; A nursing skills lab; A clinical rotation module. This course can be completed within six months. | |

Topics addressed in the course include general principles of pump operation, trouble shooting, apparatus safety, types of pumping apparatus, positioning apparatus, hydraulic calculations, principles of drafting, water supply considerations from hydrants and practical pump operation at fire scenes. This class is for a Pump Operator that would like to become more confident with pumping operations. Tentatively scheduled to include an ISO Representative discussing water supply. | |
| Railroad 101 for Emergency Responders | According to the Association of American Railroads (AAR), rail is by far the safest way to move hazardous materials (hazmat). Today, more than 99.99% of rail hazmat shipments arrived at their destination without incident. But what should you do if a railroad car is involved in an accident that results in a release of hazmat to the environment? This class will be taught by BNSF's environmental team and is designed to train local responders on hazmat awareness and emergency response in the unlikely event that a hazmat emergency occurs. Topics that may be covered include: •what to expect should BNSF respond to a derailment, cleanup, or oil spill •resources available with a BNSF hazmat response •Incident Command structure Registration is encouraged. | |

| ROPE RESCUE TECHNICIAN LEVEL 1 PART A | Rope Rescue Technician Level I is designed to meet the JPRs set in NFPA 1006, 2013 Edition, Chapter 6.1. This course emphasizes the importance of anchor placement and strength as well and proper rigging in order to be safe and efficient. Skills covered are: knots, anchors, belay operations, ascending and descending a fixed rope, mechanical advantage, and raising and lowering systems.
