OKIE811: Excavation & Trenching Safety | Attendees must register directly through OKIE811 by April 24 at https://okie811.regfox.com/enid-safety-day-2024 Trenching and excavating work presents serious hazards to all worksite personnel. Without proper excavation safety training, employees could fail to notice small imperfections in systems or equipment that could lead to serious complications, including cave-ins. Most workers caught in a cave-in are either seriously injured or killed. This trenching and excavation training details best practices that enhance safety on the job site. Course topics include hazard recognition, protective system requirements, and soil classification. | |
OKIE811: Enid Safety Day | Presented in partnership by OKIE811 and Autry Technology Center, OKIE811 Safety Days includes continuing education and awareness for key industry stakeholders. This coordinated public safety awareness event offers excavators, contractors and facility owner/operators an opportunity to see and hear a proud experience emphasizing proper use of the 811-notifiction system, safe industry practices, and response actions to take in the event of damages. OKIE811: Confined Spaces | Attendees must register directly through OKIE811 by April 24 at https://okie811.regfox.com/enid-safety-day-2024 A confined space has limited openings for entry or exit, is large enough for entering and working, and is not designed for continuous worker occupancy. Confined spaces include underground vaults, tanks, storage bins, manholes, pits, silos, underground utility vaults and pipelines. | |
OKIE811: 811 Certification | Attendees must register directly through OKIE811 by April 24 at https://okie811.regfox.com/enid-safety-day-2024 The objective of this program is to improve excavator safety through comprehensive training to prevent accidental damage to underground facilities during excavation. Course content is specific to Oklahoma and the Underground Facilities Damage Prevention Act as well as Contact Center procedures and Best Practices. There is a 25- question test at the end that must be passed with an 80% or better score for the student to receive their certification. Nazism and Jim Crow | This presentation explains the foundations of Nazism, its connection to the Jim Crow Laws, and how it affected and changed life in Europe prior and during World War II. The presentation also examines the pseudo-science of eugenics and its influence at the beginning of the 20th century. Mobile Crane Operator | This 40-hour course will certify the student in 17 NCCER OQ Tasks related to mobile crane operator skills, including rigging and signal person. Students will need to provide the crane manufacturer and model following registration; an on-site performance evaluation may be required in addition to classroom time. Limit 2 discounted enrollments per company. Additional enrollments may be allowed at regular value. This training is a $1,899/student market value. | |
