| Oklahoma Department of Wildlife: Explore Bowhunting | Beginning in 2010, the Explore Bowhunting curriculum was developed by the Archery Trade Association (ATA) to teach students (aged 11-17) basic skills used to bowhunt. The program not only teaches students how to interact with nature using ageless hunting skills, but it also teaches an appreciation of what is around them and enhances their encounters with the outdoors. As one of the first states to pilot Explore Bowhunting, the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation is excited to coordinate with state schools to conduct the program, particularly as a compliment to the highly successful National Archery In Schools and Oklahoma Hunter Education in the Schools programs. Autry Tech in-district students receive enrollment preference and discounts. Total costs and fees will be applied to out-of-district students. | |
| Oklahoma Department of Wildlife: Fishing Education (Aquatic Ed) | The Aquatic Resources Education Program (AREP) promotes the sport of fishing and aquatic resource awareness as well as a way to give youth, an opportunity to learn about Oklahoma's aquatic environments and how to fish. Developed in 1988, the program's objectives are: Increase the understanding, appreciation, and awareness of Oklahoma's aquatic resources. Facilitate the learning of angling skills, outdoor ethics, and sport-fishing opportunities in the state. Enhance urban fishing opportunities. Develop Family Fishing Clinics or seminars. Provide information on specialized fishing techniques. Autry Tech in-district students receive enrollment preference and discounts. | On the Road to Savings and Investing | Choosing the right investment options can be a pivotal part to your financial plan. In this workshop you will learn to the difference between saving and investing and the potential benefits and drawbacks of each investment. | Poly Manual Butt Fusion Operator Qualification | In this operator qualification course, McElroy University students will learn how to butt fuse small diameter HDPE and MDPE pipe, up to 6" DIPS, using manually operated McElroy equipment such as the Mini-Mc® and Pit Bull® 26. Along with fusion machine operation, class participants will also learn the theory of plastic pipe fusion, keys to contributing to a safe jobsite, and more. This course includes two hours of online prerequisite modules along with one day of in-person class for hands-on training and testing. Upon successful completion of the course material and testing, students receive a qualification that is valid for 2 years. | |

| Polyfusion Demo | Have you wondered what polyfusion is or how it can be used? Join Autry Technology Center trainers Rudy Grajales and Luis Andrade for a hands-on demonstration of our McElroy polyfusion equipment. This session is come-and-go at your convenience, with demonstrations being held as you arrive. We invite you to attend the demonstration and tour the Autry Tech Accelerator facility located at 1802 N. Van Buren Street (formerly Zaloudek Marine). The Accelerator campus also houses our Industrial Mechanic program, Aircraft Maintenance program, and our heavy equipment and transportation sims. | |
