Explore a Career in Medical Transcription (OLT) | Ed2Go. n this course, you will learn how to transcribe the most common medical reports used in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This knowledge will help prepare you to work almost anywhere in the medical field—doctors' offices, clinics, public health facilities, and hospitals. With this foundation, you will be set to advance your education so you can work as a subcontractor for a company that outsources transcription, or you can eventually even take on your own clients—all from the comfort of your own home. You will go through each of the nine main report types—their formatting requirements, the components of each one, and how they are used in the clinical setting. Every lesson will include a grammar review, pointing out important elements that will make your reports perfect. You will also gain important clinical knowledge of major disease processes that are essential to enhance your skill as a medical documentation specialist. Along the way, you will download a free transcriber to listen to dictation and produce reports. These hands-on exercises will give you the practice you will need to determine if this field is for you. Fires are one of the most common emergencies to contend with in workplaces, and can be one of the most harmful if not dealt with properly. Fires in retail and grocery settings can be particularly dangerous because customers and guests will be unfamiliar with the facility’s fire safety plan. This online course should give employees the knowledge to safely react and respond to a fire emergency in their workplace. Employees will learn their responsibilities in a fire emergency, how to identify different alarm signals, evacuation routes and procedures, and fire extinguisher use. This course is intended for retail and grocery employees who are required to understand their responsibilities in a fire emergency. FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS & GAS (FLAG) | Flammable Liquids and Gas Fire Fighting (FLAG) Examines tactical considerations and their coordinated application in response to fires involving flammable liquids and gases. Classroom lecture, hands-on exercises, and live burn scenario training focus on key team coordination concepts. The course is intense, disciplined, and physically challenging. Fire fighter safety and proper use of PPE will be reinforced throughout the course. Both public and private sector firefighters are welcomed to attend. Flammable Gas Emergencies (LPG) Features essential knowledge and skills for handling flammable gas incidents in transportation or at fixed facilities. The 12-hour training includes eight hours of classroom, followed by four hours of live burn instruction. The course is recommended to emergency responders in public safety and industry.
