Lockout / Tagout Awareness (OLT) | Lockout/tagout is a system that helps ensure workers stay safe while servicing or repairing equipment by making it physically impossible for that equipment to run or move. This course will teach employees how lockout/tagout programs work and the different roles workers must play to make them successful. Employees will learn to identify the importance of proper lockout/tagout procedures, what workers are authorized to perform those procedures, lock and tag systems used for lockout/tagout, and the special provisions of lockout/tagout programs. This online learning course is intended for employees who, during their regular work duties, are required to perform lockout/tagout procedures, and for employees who work on equipment that is subject to regular maintenance or repair requiring lockout/tagout. This course is presented in English, Spanish, German, Portuguese and Mandarin. | |
Long Term Care Nurse Aid-In Person Training | Utilize in person training to prepare for the LTCNA Skill and Written Exam. Master the skills to perform personal care for residents in nursing homes, assisted living centers and hospitals under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Upon completion, you will be eligible to take the certification exams for Long Term Care Nurse Aides CNA to be placed on the Oklahoma State Department of Health’s Nurse Aide Registry. Attendance during all classes and clinicals is required by state law. CPR and State certification tests are included in course fees. | |

Medicare 101 | The Medicare enrollment process can sometimes be confusing. What documents do you need to bring? When can you enroll? What services do you qualify for? If you are new to Medicare - or will be in the near future - you are invited to learn from Stacy Washburn at LTCA of Enid Area Agency on Aging about the process. Stacy will provide information on what to expect, timelines to enroll, what to take to the Social Security office, provide handouts and resources, and more as she walks the class through the Medicare Roadmap. Medicare Fraud Prevention | Medicare fraud prevention for the elderly involves various measures to protect older adults from being targeted by fraudulent schemes. These measures may include educating seniors about common scams, encouraging them to review their Medicare statements regularly for any suspicious charges, and advising them to never give out personal information over the phone or online unless they are certain of the legitimacy of the request. Additionally, seniors can be advised to report any suspected fraud to the appropriate authorities, such as the Medicare Fraud Hotline, Senior Medicare Patrol or the Office of the Inspector General.
