The Map Versus the Terrainow to Adapt to Anything and Achieve Success (No Matter What!): H | Join us for a lunch and learn (lunch included!) with speaker and Enid native, Bill Fournet. Our greatest successes aren’t achieved with a perfectly laid-out plan. Instead, they are accomplished by how well we adapt to the obstacles we encounter along the way. As we continue to evolve how we work amidst unpredictable change, understanding the differences between the map versus the terrain is critical for creating a high-performing team. Think of your map as your plan for what you want to achieve and where you want to go. But in this everchanging world, the terrain is often unknown. This is where adaptability becomes key. Strategy is the map. Disruption is the terrain. In this transformative keynote, Bill leverages his experience not only as a Fortune 500 executive coach and consultant, but also as an avid and skilled backpacker. He illustrates how you can use three proven strategies to create a map for navigating any terrain and transforming obstacles into opportunities. Guided by this new understanding, you and your team will be better prepared to achieve your desired outcomes and will emerge stronger through any disruption.

Trash Disposal in Retail Operations (OLT) | Let’s face it. People produce a lot of trash. Retail operations use and throw away thousands of tons of material every day. In addition to the environmental impact of all that trash, some waste products can be hazardous and have to be handled properly in order to avoid harming sanitation workers or polluting the environment. Equipment such as trash compactors and cardboard balers can also pose hazards to workers. This course is designed for retail and grocery employees who will be responsible for collecting, sorting, or disposing of trash and recycling, and features examples and scenarios tailored to the retail industry. During the course, employees will get an overview of the different types of municipal solid waste typically generated by retail and grocery operations, and the laws regarding collection and disposal of those wastes. The course will also discuss appropriate safety procedures for processing and handling waste. This course focuses on typical retail waste streams. Employers who generate hazardous wastes may also be interested in our Hazardous Waste Awareness course.
Trusting Trust for Your Estate Plan | For many Americans, a significant goal of estate planning is to avoid probate. A revocable living trust, unlike a will, offers a fast, private, probate-free way to transfer one's property after death. Although a living trust is not a complete substitute for a will (it doesn't allow you to name a guardian for a child, for example), it is definitely a more efficient way to transfer property at death, especially large-ticket items such as a house. Every student will work with an attorney to make themselves a valid trust.
