Wildland Firefighting: Fundamentals | Examines the nature of fires involving ground cover fires, such as grass, brush, timber, croplands and other vegetation. Firefighters learn basics of wildland fire behavior, weather factors, suppression strategies and tactics and safety factors that aid in the controlling and extinguishing of wildland fires. | |
Woodturning: Bowl Making | Presented by the Northwest Oklahoma Woodworker's Association. Learn the basics of woodturning, or sharpen your skills on a lathe in this hands-on course. During this project based course, you will make a wooden bowl that you will be able to take home. Tools are provided but students will purchase materials for $35 from the instructor. | |
