Welding for Certification | Explore the techniques of welding steel plate and pipe with extensive hands-on experience. Includes oxyacetylene cutting and welding with a strong focus on arc welding. Certification test fee is separate, with an average cost of up to $200. | |
Welding Skill Development | The Welding Skills Development Program is for welders of any base skill set. The purpose is to allow designated time to practice or learn new skills under the supervision of a welding instructor. The class will be individualized and student directed. This will allow for students to expand on their already existing skills at their own pace. The course instructor will provide educational instruction in shop safety, practical skill application, solutions to welding issues and assisting students to aid in their welding skill improvement. | |

Wildland Firefighting: Fundamentals | Examines the nature of fires involving ground cover fires, such as grass, brush, timber, croplands and other vegetation. Firefighters learn basics of wildland fire behavior, weather factors, suppression strategies and tactics and safety factors that aid in the controlling and extinguishing of wildland fires. | |
Woodturning: Bowl Making | Presented by the Northwest Oklahoma Woodworker's Association. Learn the basics of woodturning, or sharpen your skills on a lathe in this hands-on course. During this project based course, you will make a wooden bowl that you will be able to take home. Tools are provided but students will purchase materials for $35 from the instructor. | |
Woodturning: Lidded Box | Presented by the Northwest Oklahoma Woodworker's Association. Learn to design, turn, sand, and finish a lidded box. Additionally, surface decoration and design will be discussed and demonstrated. Craftsmanship is stressed. Emphasis is also placed on creating a pleasing and functional form, which illustrates command of woodturning techniques. Tools are provided, but students will pay $35 for materials to the instructor. | |

Perfect for young learners ages 3rd to 5th grade eager to develop their communication abilities, this class will empower them to speak with poise and enthusiasm, setting them up for success both in and out of the classroom. | |
